The desk of economic promotion and city development, in particular, performs tasks in the field of:

• create promotional activities, including public relations and social media marketing activities, concerning tasks within the Department’s scope of competence;
• monitoring the consistency of promotional messages regarding tasks within the Department’s scope of competence;
• preparing marketing communication plans using traditional and electronic media for tasks within the scope of the Department’s competence;
• ensuring consistency of messages and adherence to standards
• publishing content on websites and social media;
• overseeing the completeness and timeliness of the collection of information from individual papers and actively seeking topics relevant to the promotion of the development strategy of the city of Lublin and the economic and academic potential;
• preparation of promotional materials for the needs of the Department and other organizational units and workstations in departments, organizational units and external entities within the scope of topics within the competence of the Department;
• economic promotion of the city of Lublin at trade fairs and industry events in Poland and abroad;
• promotion of the economic, academic potential and development of the city of Lublin through participation in national and foreign competitions and industry rankings;
• cooperation with Polish and foreign partners and initiation of promotional undertakings concerning the tasks within the competence of the Department.

In particular, the Office of Investor Services and Economic Ecosystems performs tasks in the field of:

• gathering information on investment opportunities and needs of the city of Lublin in terms of availability of office space, warehousing, manufacturing, undeveloped real estate, business premises and research and development infrastructure, and taking measures to distribute this information;
• preparing and updating information on the conditions for development of economic activity in the city of Lublin, including available supranational and governmental programs;
• performing analyses on the directions of investors’ interests and areas requiring development from the point of view of the City of Lublin;
• establishing and maintaining contacts with investors and organizing meetings for potential investors;
• preparing and presenting investment offers, prepared on the basis of independently collected and acquired data;
• cooperate with the entity managing the Lublin Subzone of the Special Economic Zone “Euro-Park” Mielec;
• provide direct assistance to the investor in the investment process in administrative matters within the competence of the Mayor;
• cooperate with the organizational units and workstations in the departments, organizational units and external entities in order to implement individual investment processes;
• creating favorable conditions conducive to the development of Lublin’s economic ecosystem in the city of Lublin;
• cooperate with institutions with direct and indirect influence on the development of Lublin’s economic ecosystems, business environment institutions, financial institutions, institutions of science and R&D;
• stimulate activities aimed at the formation of cluster initiatives within Lublin’s economic ecosystems;
• coordinate jointly with other entities the activities of cluster initiatives led or co-led by the City of Lublin within Lublin’s economic ecosystems;
• independent organization or co-organization of events concerning industries key to the development of the city of Lublin.

The office of academic support carries out, in particular, tasks
of:

• to create conditions for cooperation between the scientific community, business and local government, as well as to develop, consult and implement initiatives and projects for the development of academia with the institutions of science and business;
• to initiate projects for the integration of Lublin’s universities and their joint promotion in the country and abroad, with the aim of attracting candidates to study;
• to initiate projects and cooperation of the city of Lublin, universities, non-governmental organizations, institutions of science and business, for the integration of students into the local environment;
• cooperate with student organizations and career offices to initiate and implement programs to support development among students of Lublin schools, students and graduates of Lublin universities;
• take initiatives to build relations with the student and school community in order to create and strengthen ties with the city of Lublin;
• preparing and implementing projects and programs for attracting foreign candidates and academic staff;
• preparation and implementation of projects and programs for retaining graduates of Lublin universities in the city of Lublin;
• to present the academic potential of the city of Lublin at thematic fairs, conferences, seminars and national and international meetings in order to encourage the arrival of scientific staff and students to the city of Lublin;
• initiate, coordinate and carry out activities on the Study in Lublin project.

The office of strategy and analysis performs, in particular, tasks in the field of:

• planning, analyzing and forecasting the socio-economic development of the city of Lublin;
• preparing, in cooperation with the organizational cells and workstations in the departments, organizational units and external entities, the strategy of development of the city of Lublin and draft strategies, plans and sectoral programs;
• undertaking, in cooperation with the organizational cells and workstations in the departments, organizational units and external entities, activities for the social and economic development of the city of Lublin, resulting from the development strategy of the city of Lublin and new economic ventures;
• analyzing and monitoring the implementation process of the development strategy of the city of Lublin and sector strategies, plans and programs;
• collect and process data on the socio-economic situation of the city of Lublin;
• preparing analytical reports and current and periodical information on the socio-economic situation of the city of Lublin, including the report on the state of the city of Lublin;
• conducting quantitative and qualitative social surveys and market analyses on socio-economic issues of the city of Lublin;
• initiating, testing, implementing and promoting activities that are part of the smart city idea;
• prepare and implement, in cooperation with organizational units and departmental workstations, organizational units and external entities, activities for the development of projects related to smart city solutions.
